Tour 1

Tour around Akureyri town, Hrisey island, fjord sailing and deep sea fishing.
Akureyri is the most beautiful town in Iceland.

Guided bus tour to Laufas, Grenivik,  Sandur, including a visit to Laufas village and church. Lenght of the tour:3-4 hours. Laufás will show you how many of us used to live only about 100 years ago. It is a farm made of turf and stones, now it is a museum with all kinds of things that belonged to our past time. Grenivik is a fishing village in between the mountains. Whe will see see how the fish in beeing worked out and have a taste of dry fish which is luxury product. Then a boat will pick you up so you can go deep sea fishing and possibly see some whales. Whe will go to the island of Hrisey by boat, small island in the fjord of Eyjafjordur, where everything is based on the fish. Only about 200 people live there. Then the bus will pick us up at Sandur.Then we end the day by going to the outdoor geothermal pool with sauna, hot tubs and swimming area in Akureyri.

The swimming pool is for Icelanders like the pub is for the british!

Tour 2

Departure for 2-days tour to the Lake Myvatn.

Includes places of stop: waterfall Godafoss, the waterfall of the goods, the Lake Myvatn, pseudo-craters in Skutusstadir,Krafla mountain, volcano Viti(means hell), Hverir, Grotagja, Dimmuborgir. Craters, lava fileds. Fantastic place, aactive geothermal area ,like nothing you have ever seen. There is smoke and hot mud bubling coming up from the earth and hot natural lagoon. This area is something of a mystic place. The american austronants did practise here before going to the moon. Afternoon entrance to Myvatn Nature Bath in the lagoon. Departure for Lake Myvatn which includes the following places of stop: waterfall Godafoss, the Lake Myvatn, pseudo-craters in Skútusstadir, Krafla mountain, the volcano Viti (means hell), Hverir, Grjótagjá, Dimmuborgir. Craters, lava fileds. A truly a fantastic place, active geothermal area like nothing you have ever seen before. There is smoke and hot mud bubling coming up from the earth and hot natural lagoon. Afternoon entrance to Jarðböðin (Myvatn Nature Bath) in the lagoon.Optional activity in Mývatn during winter in -Snowmobile, ice fishing, horseback riding, gogart on ice, Santa Claus sledge dragged by a horse.

Tour 3

Departure from Akureyri for a tour to the waterfall Dettifoss. Dettifoss is the most powerfull waterfall in Europe, the power is enormous, a sight worth seeing. Weather might affect the tour to Dettifoss. If so then we go to Husavík, the capital of whale watching in Europe. We will see the whale museum which is world famous and the town of HusavikAfternoon transfer back to Akurey. During winter we use Super jeep to go to Dettifoss.

*Tour 2 and 3 can be taken as one  2 days tour from Akureyri. Then we stay overnight in Myvatn



Tour 4

Eyjafjordur fjord, town of Dalvík and Ólafsfjordur
We will look into the longest fjord in Iceland 60 km.. We will see the small towns of Dalvík and Ólafsjordur. Go through tunnels that have been done right into the mountain, over 7 km. long. We will drive on the edge of the cliffs, where you will see the sea just below you. You will see the museum of Dalvík, wery interesting historical museum. Among other things it will show you the things that belonged to the tallest man on earth when he was alive. He was from Dalvik and lived big part of his live in America where he worked with the sirkus. After we pass the tunnel we will reach Ólafsfjordur, it is a fishing town.


Tour 5

River rafting in Skagafjordur. We have easy river and a dificult one. A real adrenalin kick. Breathtaking view, canyon, incredibly high cliffs and of course the wild river pounding on you. Come if you dare:


Tour 6

Whale watching from the capital of whale watching in Europe. We will go to Husavik town and see the whale museum one of its kind in the world and of course we will see the magnificent creatures in their own natural area.
