Day 1

Blue LagoonPick up at Keflavik international airport, meet & greet with your  guide. After that we start driving along the Reykjanes peninsula via hot springs and lava fields. Visit to the Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most unique and popular attraction spot. Guests will enjoy bathing and relaxing in Blue Lagoons geothermal salt water, known for its positive and healing effects on the skin.

Stay the night  near the south coast of Iceland.

Day 2

We visit the most attractive places in the neighbourhood, such as the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss, and Skógarfoss. We then head into the rugged but peaceful paradise of Thorsmork and stop at glacier Mýrdalsjökull where snowmobiling tour is optional. On our way back to Hotel  we zoom along off-road lava beaches looking for seals and hidden treasures.

Day 3

Aurora BorealisWe commence our journey by driving to a hidden natural hot spring, before we continue to the magnificent Gull-foss waterfall, which cascades down into a deep canyon. As we approach the valley Haukadalur, home of the great Geysir, chances are good that you will see the always reliable geyser Strokkur erupt in 5 to 7 minute inter-vals. This geyser spouts boiling water to the height of approximately 25 to 30 meters. We lunch in the area. After lunch we drive towards the west coast and make a sightseeing stop at Thingvellir National Park, the ancient par-liament site of the Icelandic Vikings. After a 15 to 20 minute walk through the park where we will see and experi-ence the dramatic mid-Atlantic ridge. After that we head further west to the historic site of Reykholt, home of Iceland’s famous chieftain and historian Snorri Sturluson. There Snorri compiled some of the great early literature of Iceland’s famous saga age. Snorri Sturluson met his end at the hands of his enemies close to his hot pot Snorralaug in the hot springs at Reykholt.

Day 4

After breakfast we visit the scenic Hraunfossar waterfalls that cascade into the glacial river Hvítá from beneath a tree grown lava field.
We then continue to the west side of the Langjökull glacier where we will stop and have the opportunity of a unique encounter with mother nature and then drive further west with a stop by Surtshellir cave or another nearby lava cave. In the old days these caves were sometimes inhabited by outlaws. We drive on towards Deildartunguhver, the largest and most powerful hot spring in the northern hemisphere. Deildartunguhver is a considerable source of West-Iceland’s geothermal heating energy.
In the afternoon we head south towards Reykjavik, enjoying the scenic Hvalfjordur fjord with its stunning combination of natural contrasts.

Overnight  in Reykjavík.

Day 5

Departure for the Keflavik international airport or an optional extended stay in Iceland. It is possible to extend the tour for additional days and more excursions, or just enjoy a relaxing time in Reykjavík.
